Product Evolution

At Liberet, we understand the importance of making your projects a reality, which is why we use different tools to build them, such as Blueprint UX. This instrument is not only used to design or improve a business’s user experience but also to transfer information and establish context. We recommend following a series of steps to create an effective Blueprint UX.

Blueprint applications go beyond designing or improving a business’s user experience, as they are also used to transfer information and establish context. We use them to create diagrams that allow us to transfer knowledge to the team and new members more quickly and effectively, ensuring that everyone starts from the same base.

Blueprint UX Steps

Determine your
target customer

Before you start, you must determine which specific customer experience you will focus on in the Service Blueprint. Generally, this represents your target audience, so if you don’t know their characteristics well, we recommend conducting a study of them first.

Whether you are mapping an existing service or creating one from scratch, it is essential to determine the scenario in which interactions with your customer will take place. If possible, interview some customers to get a realistic view of this scenario.

Determine a
scenario

Plan
the experience

Determine the actions the customer will take, in a chronological order. Keep in mind that for a more global vision, you will need to determine the actions the user takes before, during, and after contacting your business.
Once you have traced the customer’s journey, it’s time to develop the rest of the storytelling, including the customer’s actions, frontstage actions, backstage actions, and processes.

Build
the map

Interaction

Add details to your map, such as the estimated time the user takes to complete the action, their emotions, relationships and dependencies between different parts, and different success metrics that provide context to your plan.
Once you have your map ready, keep in mind that this will be your first version. You will likely have found flaws in the design and areas for improvement in different aspects of the service experience, and this is the best time to reconsider and redesign them.

Conclusions

At Liberet, we ensure that your project becomes a reality by using effective tools such as Blueprint UX, giving you a solid foundation to build your project successfully.
